About the Event
Thyroid nodules are among the most common clinical problems encountered by the endocrinologist. Prevalence of palpable thyroid nodules varies from 3 to 12% of the general population in most studies, with the majority being benign. Ultrasound examination plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis, management and risk based follow up of these nodules. It is therefore essential that the clinician understands the significance of various ultrasound terminologies and is able to interpret ultrasound images for optimal management of these conditions.
